On the eve of the vacationing season, the editors at the gay magazine "Kvir" (Queer) have prepared a second edition of their Russian language Travel Guide "Spartak."
Russian language Travel Guide "Spartak"
In the 2006/2007 version, the number of addresses have increased where gay-friendly hospitality and understanding await. In all, the guide includes 49 countries and 70 cities worldwide. Information about Russia is included in English as well.
"Spartak" details the traditions of seven different countries and contains short descriptions of each gay establishment, written based on first-hand impressions and the latest information.
"This is the second attempt at an edition of this type of guide for us," explains Eduard Mishin, editor-in-chief of the Gay Magazine "Kvir" (Queer). We confirmed a lot of details about gay establishments in different countries around the world, added a few countries, and updated and added information about each country for 2006. Whether or not editions of Spartak" become annual, depends to a large extent on our readers. We hope that on the eve of the summer season, when many gays take off on long vacations, our guide will be a good consultant for them."
As previously reported, the first edition of "Spartak" was called a "large success" by Brain Bedford, the editor of the globally popular gay guide "Spartacus." "Spartak" also received positive reviews in the Russian edition of "TimeOut".
